Earth, as a living, breathing planet, needs to maintain a balance to survive. People have been upsetting the balance for thousands of years but our modern world has created a new challenge for earth’s future- climate change or global warming.
Commercial vehicles are one of the culprits that use fossil fuels and release carbon dioxide adding to the problems of climate change. The average van produces around 6 tonnes of CO2 every year.
By creating a green transportation company, our team is committed to operating a 100% eco friendly business, running our delivery vehicles from 100% green fuels (LPG- liquid petroleum gas and Bio Fuel- waste/recycled vegetable oil), which reduces the emissions polluting our planet. Using recyclable materials like paper, having energy efficient lighting in our offices. We have started a waste recycle program- recycling include engine oil, tyres, batteries and office materials. Our web site is also run from a green server.
We have plans for investments into new green vehicles, from fuel efficient hybrid, electric adding to our fleet of LPG vans and bio fuel delivery vehicles. We are green and are going to become even greener.
Bio-diesel Benefits
- Bio-diesel reduces Carbon Dioxide emissions, the primary cause of the Greenhouse Effect, by up to 100%. Since bio diesel comes from plants and plants breathe carbon dioxide, there is no net gain in carbon dioxide from using bio-diesel
- Bio-diesel is more lubricating than diesel fuel, it increases the engine life and it can be used to replace sulphur, a lubricating agent that, when burned produces sulphur dioxide- the primary component in acid rain.
- Bio-diesel is safe to handle because it is biodegradable and non-toxic
- Bio-diesel is safe to transport. Bio-diesel has a high flash point, or ignition temperature compared to petroleum diesel fuel.
- Engines running on bio diesel run normally and have a similar fuel mileage to engines running on diesel fuel.
- Bio-diesel has a pleasant aroma similar to popcorn popping in comparison to the stench of petroleum diesel fuel.
